Start-up Visa

It is an efficient visa route for ambitious talented early entrepreneurs who may not have extensive experience but have the potential to transform their idea into ground-breaking, impactful business ventures.
ELIGIBILITY
You can apply for a Start-up visa if:
- You want to set up a business in the UK.
- You are 18 years or over.
- You’re from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland.
- This is your first time establishing a UK based business.
- You have received endorsement from an eligible UK endorsing body which has assessed your business idea as being innovative, viable and scalable.
- You can show that you intend to use most of your time working on the business in the UK if your visa is approved.
- Your endorsement was stamped within the last three months by the date of your application.
- You have the ability and expertise to undertake business activity related to your business idea.
- You can provide evidence of your English language skills.
- You can prove that you have sufficient funds to support yourself whilst living in the UK.
There are exceptions and considerations that can be made if you are a sole founder of a business or one who is working in a team.
